About Us



Rod Western

Rod is a founding member of GLOBEbd and has more than 10 years experience in Public Practice. Rod specializes in strategic business planning and has particularly good experience in Farming, Manufacturing, Wholesale and trades businesses and Commercial Property.

Ian Conroy

Ian commenced in public practice in 1984, some 25 years ago. In 1989 he completed his Professional year and was made an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in November 1990. After working for two Perth based practices and having gained valuable experience, he started out in his own practice in July 1995, initially in Subiaco, then in Wangara, until joining forces as a founding member of GLOBEbd in 2007. With his wife, Toni, they have five children and live in the Canning Vale area.

The family values of GLOBEbd are very important to them all, in the organisation and maintaining that philosophy, whilst working on providing a secure and expanding organization for family, staff and clients is at the core of what we will achieve.

Paul Gough

As one of GLOBEbd’s founding members, Paul brings extensive experience to the day to day running of many of our existing clients. Paul has been working in the Accounting Industry for 13 years, Paul has worked in many different fields of Accounting and has worked in both the Public Sector and Private Sectors and worked in the UK for 4 years for some very large multinationals. Paul is also a partner in GLOBEbd and is committed to see success for both GLOBEbd and our client base.

Chris Quelch

Chris has been working in Public Practice since July 1998; he has vast experience in the industry having worked in Geraldton, Sydney, West Perth & London. He has now found his home at Globe GD and is looking to forward to an exciting and successful future for both the company and clients. Chris holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Curtin University and is a member of CPA Australia.

Dan Jones

Dan has been with GLOBEbd since its inception and is currently a shareholder in the company. Over the years Dan has had number of jobs involving everything from Professional snooker to Cabinet Making, whilst completing his bachelor of commerce at Murdoch University. Dan has a strong background in the trades thanks to his employment as a cabinet maker but also oversees a diverse client base. Dan is both committed to and excited about our companies’ future and looks forward to growing his client base and seeing them prosper.

Martin Feng

Martin has been with GLOBEbd since its inception. He has a Masters of Professional Accounting Degree in WA and is a CPA Associate Member. As a bi-lingual accountant in our firm, Martin has a strong link with Chinese community and is a great source of help to many, with the day to day running of a successful business in Australia. He is has also been instrumental in GLOBEbd venturing in to China and is our Authorised Representative for our new China office.

Lauren Mathews

Lauren has worked on a part time bases at GLOBEbd since its inception in 2007. Lauren is also currently studying at Curtin University, her Bachelor of Commerce - Accounting and Financial Planning. When Lauren graduates in June this year, she will begin working full time at GLOBEbd. Lauren is not only a very capable and intelligent young woman, she also brings an inquisitive and enthusiastic mind to accountant, that GLOBEbd and all our clients can benefit from.

Jayne Head

Jayne has been with GLOBEbd since its inception. Jayne has a strong background in bookkeeping and office management. She has experience in corporate law and managed her own family building company for many years. Jayne’s position has grown in our firm and she now is head of our strong and very capable admin team. Jayne is always willing to help with your enquiry, and if she cannot will be only too willing to find out who can. So please feel free to call her or any of our happy admin staff.

Janelle Green

Janelle is our friendly and cheerful receptionist. She deals with all daily tasks such as the mail, banking, scanning plus all other jobs which aid the accountants and administration team. Janelle has been with GLOBEbd for over a year and a half, after graduating from Year 12 in 2007. She is a valued member of our team.

Karen Potts

GlobeBD welcomes Karen to the Team. She brings organisational skills and a high level of computer literacy with her. Following a long career in the Insurance Industry, Karen looks forward to her career change into the Financial Sector. She is people orientated, exudes a friendly manner and is always willing to help clients.

Kelly Fanye

Kelly Fanye works in the Globe BD Hang Zhou office in China. She was educated and trained in Melbourne, and currently resides in Hang Zhou. Kelly is responsible for carrying out accounting and taxation tasks for clients and liaises with Potential contacts in China.

"I have run a specialty clothing retail store in Perth since 1983 and had a typical accountant, one that you visit once a year and either celebrate together or he reads you the riot act.
